April 28, 2011:Lili Lou has been awarded a 2011-2012 Milton E. Mohr Fellowship! This is the second time Lili won the Mohr Fellowship. Congrats Lili! The Milton E. Mohr Awards Program recognizes outstanding students in the sciences of biotechnology and engineering based on their academic performance and potential for accomplishments in their specific field.
Congratulations to Lili! She won the 2010-2011 Graduate Research Assistant Award of Department of Chemistry, UNL. She made her award presentation on Friday, 4/15/2011, at the Departmental Colloquium.
The title of her presentation was “Molecular Mechanism for the Biosynthesis of HSAF, a Broad Spectrum Antifungal Natural Product with a Novel Mode of Action”.
The poster of Yunxuan et al. was one of the three winners of poster presentation in the 2011 Annual Retreat of Nebraska Redox Biology Center, which was held at Lied Lodge & Conference Center, Nebraska City, in April 15-17, 2011. Her poster won the second prize. Congratulations! The title of the presentation was “Biosynthetic Mechanism for the Antifungal Polycyclic Tetramate Macrolactam HSAF: the Role of a Zinc-dependent Dehydrogenase Gene”.
