Hello! I am from the Bay area in California (West Coast Best Coast!). I studied at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 2014. I have worked as a licensed pharmacy technician for 5 years, and as an environmental analytical chemist for two years. I made the big leap to UNL, and left the sunshine state in 2016 to pursue a doctoral degree in chemistry.
My research in the Morin group currently focuses on studying and modulating elastomeric polymer surfaces by applying mechanical stress. My research incorporates organic, inorganic, polymer, and surface chemistry together with the goal of controlling surface reactivity and releasing surface bound molecules via stretching.
