Differential Scanning- and Isothermal Titration Micro Calorimeters
These instruments allow precise measurement of heat capacities as a function of temperature and heat changes associated with reactions. These data are used to characterize conformational changes in proteins and nucleic acids and, when considered with kinetic data, yield a macroscopic understanding of ligand-binding processes.
