SLM 4850 multi-harmonic frequency phase fluorometer
One of two elegant instruments in the lab used to obtain time-resolved fluorescence and anisotropy decays. The delay between absorption of a photon by the dye and subsequent emission yields a shift in the phase and change in the amplitude of the emitted waveform relative to the scattering reference, from which the fluorescent decay amplitudes and lifetimes can be extracted.
